History

Considered as one of the most important and recognized companies of the northwest of Mexico, Grupo Araiza was founded in 1973 with the dream, work and determination of its founders, and with the aid and franchise of one of the most important worldwide hotel chains in Mexicali, B.C.

After 20 years, Grupo Araiza becomes independent and forms its own company and firm with Araiza Inn Mexicali with the purpose, of being the hotel with the best service and facilities, keeping always in mind to look forward and innovate in the hotel bussiness.

Thanks to the preference of the guests and clients, that chose them along this time, Hotel Araiza Mexicali is positioned as the best 5 star hotel in the region. Located at the Hotel Zone of Mexicali, B.C., Hotel Araiza has 270 rooms , and is the biggest and most modern hotel of the city with 49 suites, 96 executive rooms and 124 standard rooms, besides two swimming pools (one if which is heated), Jacuzzi, First Class Fitness Center, Fonda de Santa Clara restaurant, Snack Coffe, Lobby Bar, Room Service, Tennis Court, Business Center and wireless internet in the rooms. Continuing with the expansion, in 1976 Hotel Palmira is built in La Paz, BCS with 120 rooms. Combining a pleasure and business hotel, completely remodeled and with new areas and services as Fitness Center, Executive Floor (Palmira Club), Wireless internet in rooms and Beach Club, along with its traditional services such as restaurant swimming pool, Business center tennis court, and event rooms with capacity of up to 350 people.

In 1983 Hotel Calafia is built, located at the Hotel Zone in Mexicali, B.C. and it is considered the best four star hotel in the city, it has 172 rooms with direct access to the parking area, business center, wireless internet, swimming pool, restaurant, gym, event rooms, and garden with capacity of up to 400 people.

In 1991, Hotel Araiza Hermosillo starts operating with 160 rooms and is located in the Hotel Zone of the city, with the concept of breakfast included with the room rate; all of which has been remodeled. This hotel has coffe shop, gym, swimming pool, business center, exposition area for up to 2000 people and event rooms with capacity of up to 400 people.
